Morning, todays plan will be home, kip, coffee, food, ride, BBQ and beer. Oh and avoid spoilers so can watch TDF highlights without knowing result

Walked dog. Mowed some more paddock. Considered riding a bike to the shops, but decided against. Those are the highlights of the day...

Had a good weekend out on the bike, fast ride Saturday and a wifey and mates ride on Sunday which included three pub stops!
Rode again this morning before work, chilly though.

Got stuff to do here at the place of distraction, decking to paint when I get home. That was Sundays job but we got back late, then TDF highlights and an earlyish night.

Had to cut off near iron bridge or I wouldn’t have got out for the night, so only managed 100 and had the joys of cycling through Wolverhampton and Birmingham!

There is another one in September.......

Personally I'm all in favour of getting the summaries as then there's no need to watch all the boring bits of blokes cycling along a road dressed in funny outfits :)

Monday and back into the fray, although after full weekend with the hounds it feels like a rest. Anyone who has had a couple of young children will know what I mean. Still tired as I woke up early, probably a minor case of toxic gas inhalation after last nights curry. Pedal in was pleasant enough though.

  • Ah, back from a lovely spin. Sunny, warm and light wind and for a change I had company for the first part as a mate called in on his way home. Right, time to light the BBQ - only ever the proper stuff, charcoal. None of this gas nonsense.

What's wrong with a blow torch?

  • Cooking meat with a blow torch is perfectly acceptable if you are considering a career selling lucky white heather and tarmacking drives. Otherwise, dunno...

Are you casting aspersions on my origins?
FYI, you couldn't be further from the truth. My ancestors didn't have the brains for that sort of high class entrepreneurial creativity.

  • Absolutely no aspersions cast. Just an observation.

Offer accepted on my folks' house - plenty of interest and spent less than 2 weeks on the market. May be a bit of a race on to get things cleared and sorted before it finally goes.

Blowtorch bbq, nothing wrong there, we've done some dodgy things camping like that

Evening folks, busy day followed by a slightly extended pedal home. Beer next I think.
Good news about the house Stevo, good luck getting it cleared.

With the proceeds of the house, are you going to buy a decent car?

Sounds like a question you've been asked
