Quick question if I may
I have a new SR 11 speed cassette and have sourced a 12 speed Record groupset for purchase (without cassette) Can I use the 11 speed SR cassette on the 12 speed Record gruppo?

Either someone is selling you the 12 sp. Record groupset very cheap or it is going to cost you serious money. If it is the former you should have the cash left to buy a 12sp cassette and if it is the latter why do you want to spoil the job with a c0ck up?

Your right shifter will be 12 clicks, your cassette will have 11 sprockets.

You can use it, if you want rubbish shifting that doesn't really work, and for everyone to laugh at you.

Shifting will be worse than rubbish. The sprocket spacing on 12 speed is a fair bit narrower.

The new chorus 12 speed cassette is your cheapest option. They are available as well, I have three in the shop.
