carbon bars slipping in stem

I have Zipp SL carbon bars that were not slipping until I installed a fizik carbon stem. All the bolt are very tight, exactly as advised in terms of torque. everything was very clean. Bars and stem seem to mate together well in terms of surface area. However when the bike jolt the bars slip (rotate). I tried carbon paste, made no difference so far. clearance seems too tight to wind any tape around. Any ideas? ps I tried tightening the bolts even more, and it helped but didnt solve it. any advice? thanks

Sounds like they are incompatible then. Stem slightly oversized / bars slightly undersized or both. I'd refit the old stem.

Send the carbon stem back and save some cash.

Or if you absolutely must have a carbon stem, get a Zipp one?
