Nice morning for ride apart from getting held up on the way in by a MGIF WVM and the Pizza Express chumps piling stuff up against our back door.
Feeling rough this morning as well, hopefully it will clear up shortly - might be hay fever, might be an allergy to work.

Sunny intervals and wind. Not all of it weather related.

    Not a lot happening here.

Spot of work done at home, dropped Stropteen off at school to catch the coach for her Biology field trip, now headed in on train for more work and hopefully the last round of minion hunting.

Could do with coffee and food right now.

Day out. Dropped off some bike parts sold on t'interwebs, including (sadly) one of the titanium frames I've had for a few years. Collecting dust in my shed, figured someone may as well ride it.

Saw advisors about stuff. Saw physio who apparently needed voodoo practice and promptly stuck a load of needles in odd places, then sent me home taped up like an extra in The Mummy.

Treated myself to one (1) good whisky when I got home. First one in nearly 2 weeks.

Onwards to more pharmacologically-assisted sleep soon.

    Afternoon folks,
fairly standard Wednesday type behaviour here interspersed with the occasional bit of fun, best bit was when I was asked if something could be made any clearer after asking for clarification. Pointed out all of the errors in the information I'd been given and sent the patronising twunt on his way with his tail between his legs.
Had to drive in as is normal on a Wednesday, would have been a nice day to ride in but I get to bail early at least. Have to go and sort some stuff out for the old dear later but this will be swiftly followed by a visit to the pub.
    Onwards and upwards...

Had a half hour long argument with someone wanting a new laptop, I'm not IT but they seem to think I am so their reporting me to the IT manager and HR.

    This should be interesting.

At last, interviews over and a generous offer going out to potential new minion tomorrow morning. I think I've earned a drink.

A generous offer? Are you sure you haven't had one already? :D

Surely you start with a slightly stingy offer, with scope for them to say "10 for that you must be mad", and for you to up it a bit and look magnanimous. If you start generous, you're only setting up your cost centre for a beating if you really want them and they haggle.

Well it's not as generous as it might be if they ask nicely....have left a bit of wiggle room in case my potential minionette tries a bit of Python style haggling :)

But didn't the false beard (for the wife) get sold for less than the original offer?

Would be a good result in this case...
