£3k: Propel, Aeroad, Tarmac or TCR?

Jesus Christ that is a hideous bike. Looks about as uninteresting and generic as you can get, fresh out of the open mould library and that's before we talk about the disc brakes.

The CAAD series are such fantastic looking bikes...and now this.

Giant normally reduce their bikes by around 20 per cent soon. I should know I got stung before buying a month before they reduced it

Tcr or propel , love the propel paintwork .
Caad12 or previous supersixs are fast handlers too

I'd consider a Foil in that mix too.

Foil 20- only thing it doesn't have is your deep sections, but you can always put the balance (and maybe sell the stock wheels), towards those.

Even cheaper, this was on my list when I got the 2018 Advanced Pro 1 Disc (blue). May well have gone for this IF it had been that price at time.

You could even chuck an Ultegra chainset on there if it was bothering you. But hell of a bike.

Quick update

Been to the lbs where the salesman and other customers did everything they could to sway me toward a TCR and i think they have succeeded!

Been offered an ex demo Advanced 1 for £2600 down from the rrp of £3000 and might just go for it.

Then again the deal above for the advanced 2 is the same bike with 105 components for £2210.

Stuck between these deals - would love to hear opinions!

Ok, so I paid £2100 for my NOT ex demo, reduced 2018 TCR 1 a few months back. Eventually, that 1 model will be around £2200 in the sale, but you want it now.

Ultegra is definitely better, but is it £400 better right now? If you can afford it, get the Ultegra. If not, get the 105.

Or, ultimately, which colour do you prefer because they are identical otherwise.

Haggle the ULtegra down to £2450
