Hi All,
I have a holiday coming up near Sarlat and I am taking my bike. I’m going with the family so will have three hours max in the morning to get put on the bike.
I have looked at some strava routes and the climb to Domme looks great but I was wondering if anybody had othe recommendations of where to on the bike?
I a looking for pretty routes to see the sights and a couple of climbs would be good too. Any other views on the area also welcome.
Thanks!

There is nothing really mountainous there. Domme area is steep and undulating but fairly simple. Just ride would be my advice, the whole area is stunning. My blog: http://www.roubaixcycling.cc (kit reviews and other musings)

I was in Le Bugue a couple of years ago. The roads were very well surfaced and pretty much empty. The hills were not particularly steep and quite short. Much less difficult than my normal routes on the edge of the peak district.
The whole area is pretty picturesque. If you don't find any recommended routes, just plot a line through various villages and back to your startpoint; it should give you a pleasant few hours.0 -
Echo the above and even the climb up to domme is possible on a single speed0

Beautiful countryside and decent roads. We were there a few years ago for 2 weeks. NO shortage of lovely rides but nothing too challenging gradient wise.
I tried to plan lots of routes in advance but eventually I just loaded a Google map on my phone as an emergency to help me get "home". Then I just went out and rode.0
