New Garmin 830 or is it

Just purchased a new Garmin 830 from Clever training using the 10% off code from DC Rainmaker.
Have had a couple of lock ups on it so far but hopefully will sort itself out with updates.
On checking my history it reported that I had ridden 15 rides and 720 miles, I have actually done 4 rides and about 300 miles so presume this is not a new unit.
Just wandering if anyone else has had a similar issue, weird thing is I had the same thing on a 820 unit couple of years ago, with a load of rides done in a different country.
Have emailed Garmin to see what they say.

Maybe you got DC Rainmaker's test unit!

I think you would have been better emailing Clever Training...

It may have synced some of your rides from before you had the 830. I just got one and when I set it up it ingested the rides on Connect. for previous performance data. Those rides don't show up under History->Rides on my 830 though.

As wongataa said, there's a true up feature that downloads rides from other devices, the icon for the ride normally looks a bit different from rides created on the device.

Didn't give any details of rides only the ones I actually did.
Just showed up in totals Garmin have got back to me and proceeding with there instructions at the moment.
May well have synced some other rides.
