Hi folks,
Does anyone have any suggestions for spd style shoes that will accommodate wide feet. I am a bit of a Hobbit.

    Diadora, DHB.

I've been riding these pretty much exclusively for over a year - https://www.wiggle.co.uk/dhb-dorica-mtb-shoe/

Second the dhb shoes, I've got mtb troika in a canoe sized 13.

I've tried about 40 other pairs of shoes and other than specialised tahoe (which they've change the shape off now), Ive not found any others to fit.
Intent on Cycling Commuting on a budget, but keep on breaking/crashing/finding nice stuff to buy.
    Bike 1 (Broken) - Bike 2(Borked) - Bike 3(broken spokes) - Bike 4( Needs Work) - Bike 5 (in bits) - Bike 6* ...

I have wide feet use DHB r1 for road. For mtb and commuter use bont riot mtb shoes they are excellent loads of room.
Caveat - I buy and ride cheap, however, I reserve the right to advise on expensive kit that I have never actually used and possibly never will

What shape foot are you? I find a lot of cycling shoes have a curved shape which doesn't work with my square feet. I just got road shoes after lots of trying on (Specialized torch 1.0) and will need new SPDs for my MTB soon.

The wide fit ME3s? I'd like to hear if square feet fit. The wide road shoes I tried from Shimano were very curved at the toe box so no good for me. Good luck

i mail ordered a few different shoes to try on my wide feet -tried on wide fit Shimano mtb earlier in the year, tried on Lakes also. I ended up sending them all back less for the bont riots. The riots are awesome if you want loads of toe box room they are stiff as road shoes and light. The oven molding may seem strange but its easy and works. if you run cleats far back towards mid foot the bonts have alot of cleat adjustability almost or good as shimano torbal soles if thats a factor for consideration?

  • Late reply, but wanted to add that I have wide-ish(UK G) feet and use Specialized MTB shoes for commuting and road shoes for other riding and they fit.
