Hey all.

I'm planning on doing the Sandstone way in September this year over a few days. I've been looking at a few videos and it looks more tarmac and grass field s than sandstone?!

If any of you guys have riden this ..I'd love to hear opinions and advice.

Thanks.

Ridden it both ways. Did the Berwick to Hexham route in a day a couple of years ago. Not much tarmac if you ride the proper route, plenty of tarmac shortcuts to take. Most of it is either over rolling hills or muddy farmers fields. Make sure you have either a map or GPS as signage is easy to miss.
  • Hi trek dan is it well signposted. Staying in beadnell so probably ride from Wooler to Berwick if it’s easy to find the start and signage. Any advice.
  • I remember I got lost several times there. Be sure to bring along a map or GPS.

I’ve run it and signage was easy enough for me to follow, so that means it must be pretty good
