How much progress is "good" progress?

I've been training for four months and my FTP has increased by 22% (going from 148w to 181w). Due to time constraints I can only do two turbo sessions a week through Bkool and a Sunday social ride. So, at 49 years of age, would this be regarded as good progress or should I have done better?

Hard to measure objectively.
22% looks pretty good progress to me though.Superstition sets the whole world in flames; philosophy quenches them.

22% in 4 months is good going.
For comparison sake I went from 238 to 262w in 9 months (just under 10% increase)0 -
Thank you as I wanted to double check that I was getting value for money with Bkool and proper gains from my time. I've been doing a VO2 session on Tuesdays and a Threshold workout on Thursdays using a smart trainer. The Sunday socials have been 40-50 miles with a cafe stop at the halfway point.0

Good gains. As a beginner (assuming you are, sorry if not) then you'll see your biggest gains in the beginning. Just remember that those gains will become smaller and smaller as you get fitter and fitter, so don't get disheartened if you don't see another 22% in the next time frame. Keep at it! :-)0

I used a smart turbo trainer, the Bkool Pro, and did FTP tests.0
