Just bought a used 6870 group set for $280. Installed in my 2008 Cervelo Soloist after some "mods" (dremel). Now, here is a weird situation. I click the right shifter and it shifts the front derailleur. I click the left shifter and it shifts the rear mech. How in the world is this possible? This really stumps me and I would like to resolve it quickly. Thanks!

Has the previous owner reprogrammed the shifter operation via eTube? Plug the system in to the eTube program and check the function of the switches. Set them back to default and test again.

Ha, that's what you get for not reading things properly.

When I first got my DI2 I plugged it in to my computer and had an app where I could adjust all kinds of settings including what each button did.

    Plug in and factory reset.

Ok, factory reset it is! Sadly...the only thing I didn't get with the package was a charger / PC cable. So, to Ebay I suppose I am off to.

And no...the cables are not "switched."

You shouldn’t need a ‘factory reset’, just re-assign whichever buttons on each shifter you want to do each shift.
