    I think the danger thing is overblown . I am not sold on disc brakes weigh a ton. I like that you don't wear out your rim and the breaking is good. I guess they will get lighter. The rotors add a 100grams of rotating mass to your wheels...hmmm . I suppose if the Rims can be lightened it cancels out but it have yet to see a combo that is successful at that.
