Ran out of patches, tubes etc last night before a family bike ride today so tried patching tube with a 1 inch square of gorilla tape.

Stayed up overnight ok. How long do you reckon it might hold air?

Used normal duct tape before, still holding a year later.

Couple of hour ride with the kids and it stayed up fine (it’s on one of the kids bikes). Time to forget about it now and just deal with it when it eventually deflates!

Good to hear. I always carry a length of Gorilla tape 'just in case' but have yet to have need of it.

Thought it might be useful as a tyre boot but hadn't thought of it for emergency puncture repair. It should last a while as long as the tube isn't expanding too much within the tyre as Gorilla tape is thicker and less flexible than many other duct tapes.
