Have used Yokozuna Reaction cables for years, sadly they are no longer available.

Can anyone recommend another brand which are as good? Anyone used DA, Nokon, Jagwire, or others and Yokozuna and can compare? Yokozuna stayed perfect for absolutely ages. Thanks

  • If you're using Shimano, then i don't personally think there's anything better than Dura-Ace cable. Not used mechanical for a while, but having tried Nikon and Jagwire in the past, I'd only use DA and still do for brake cables.

I had this on my bike from new:

The gearing ran almost perfect for 5 years. Very little adjustment needed.

Last I re-cabled it (6 years old) and it is still fine.

  • I too used to use Yokozuna but given it's cost and the fact it was fast becoming unavailable I switched to Jagwire generally and buy the outer and inners in bulk. I use the stainless slick inners which I can't fault so you could give these a go. I generally buy off ebay.
