Does anyone know any cheap method to remove Campag power torque crankset without the crank puller? If not, LBS it is...

    Short answer - no

Longer answer - you need a gear puller (cheaper generic one will work), and a metal insert that itself costs about £20. Get the LBS to do it, and then throw away the cranks, to be replaced by something with a non-stupid design.

As above, except that a cheaper gear puller might work but I doubt it. The only time I have removed one I had access to a well equipped car workshop that had all sorts of pullers . I had to use a hydraulic puller. The force required to remove the non drive crank was crazy.
The chain set went on Ebay. I would not put one on a bike.

Thanks guys, I'll take it to the bike shop and get a proper crankset. The Veloce is going on Ebay...
