Kids Bike - Coaster Brake - Not rotating freely

I bought a new bike for my daughter. I noticed that rear wheel is not rotating freely. I think it is down to coaster brake rubbing with wheel. I am not sure though, no rubbing sound. Is it the issue with all coaster bikes?. If not, I will try to exchange it. If it is the issue with coaster bikes, I will buy free wheel bike without any coaster brake.

    if youve just bought it new, id take it back to get it checked, was it from somewhere like Halfords?

    my understanding of coaster brakes is that they only brake when you rotate the crank backwards

    Thank you. I got it from Germany. Looks like, Halfords dont do coaster bike.
