Well, now it's put together I feel a bit like the subject in the old Charles Atlas joke, "Dear Charles, I have finished your course, please send me the muscles". I think it looks ok though. I'll probably lose the out front mount for something that fits a bit better, neither the Wahoo supplied mount or the K-Edge sit square on the bars.

Thanks. Yes, it's a little chunkier than the previous model (with the red top tube), noticeable on the down tube and the junction of the seat stays. I'll take a couple of better pix when I get a mo.

    cool grazie.

as we all, chunky, except in the case of women and Dirk, is always A Good Thing. Decent side pic would be cool - haven't seen any of these around these parts so intrigued.
eTapo would also be cool as it would clean everything up but top job so far. Another case for tan walls winning the day.

very nice looking bike. The bar tape is not my sort of thing but the overall looks very nice.

Must agree with the pup above, very nice but wouldn't go for the bar tape myself. Thankfully it's your bike and your choice, hope you enjoy it.

The MFs quite like the bar tape - its kinda different and will annoy clubbies.

All of them like it? I'd have thought it was a bit marmite and they'd be fighting among themselves.
Still a nice looking bike though.
  • What bar tape is it. I think its great. I need to jazz up my dull bike. Was looking at the Cinelli camo style , but didn't want to be taken for a massive t*at. Hi viz camo would be acceptable if I could find it for stupid factor.

I know what you mean about the tape, - I'd normally use any colour you'd like, as long as it's black, but thought I'd give this brand a whirl, mostly because of the green highlights. I think it looks ok, I can live with it. I drew the line at the bright green plugs though...
It's a brand called Supacaz, and it's similar in feel to the lizardskin stuff.
  • Supacaz tape is on the list ! The overall bike looks great. My mate has just bought an R3 in dark blue with red bits. That looks timeless class also. Have fun.

well, 4 of them like it, the others are still gazing at it like a bunch of Stone Roses fans on a Sunday morning after a mad night in Salford circa June 1992.

Love the supacaz tape, put it on my gf's bike, and have some now for each of my bikes as and when they need replacing.
Not too hard on the wallet if you get lucky on ebay or in a sale.

Great quality, nice and grippy, and really easy to wrap.

Some more pix, - I took a few but they were so bad. These are the least appalling, I really need to get sorted...

You can see the beefed up stays joint compared to the old model:
