Coronation would not take place until after a suitable period of mourning so would be next year

Intrigues me that Vardy is likely to win a libel case based on a statement that appears to be factual i.e. it was leaked from her account.

Yes, everywhere else it says "account" or "account/individual".

From the reporting of Vardy's binfire of evidence, I don't know that she's likely to win. I can't see how "yes, I leaked lots of stuff to exactly the same journalist, but saying that I leaked this specific stuff is very damaging to my reputation" flies.

Crypto and the headline grabbing collapse.

    What?
    How?
    Who?
    When?
    Long Term?
    Short Term?
    Are we safe?
    Are they safe?
    Does it make any sense?
If people have lost lots of figures on a virtual balance sheet, how are their senses?
    Is the world crazy?
    Gold standard?
    Twaddle?
    Gibberish?

On top of losing all the phones and records and super sick witnesses. If it is not all innocent, she is risking a perjury charge if evidence ever comes to light.

That said, the legal analysis I read was that Rooney needed to prove Vardy leaked or authorised the leak and not just that it came from the account. That seems a bit unfair to me although even if she loses this battle she has won the war.

One reaches for such a metaphor with great reluctance, but if you were to wrongly accuse Harold Shipman of killing your grandma, he might have a case for libel, but it would not have been altogether easy for him to suggest that your outrageous suggestion had left his reputation in tatters.
