I was thinking of driving over from where we are currently in the Lot (46) and riding Puy Mary but the driving distance is a bit more than I envisaged - about 150 miles and I was thinking I'd drive over - ride and drive back... a bit too long a day I think.
So now thinking of driving over and staying a night or two. I was thinking of starting at Salers - up to the top and down to Dienne then back over to Salers. Any recommendations fo bike friendly accomodation in Salers? Thanks.

I guess this area isn't one which a lot of people go over to and stay so much. It's unfortunate that it's a bit too far for me to drive over - ride it - and back in the same day. I know my limitations. I'll see how it goes and may go over on spec if the meteo forecasts are favourable... some snow mentioned for this week... it may be a bit too early in the year.

    Thanks tourdriving
... always useful. In fact I found a few hotels in Salers and immdediate area so I'll have something in mind if I do drive over there.
It's just that it's always useful to hear first hand experience of accomodation
