Colourway and finishing kit mismatch

Hi all
So I have my new Mason Bokeh Adventure bike in shutter black.
The forks are black with an orange logo.
The down tube is black with a white logo
The headset is Deda with a splash of red on the bottom nut the rest is black/grey
The back of the seat post and the underside of the saddle is yellow.
It's a shame it's not just two colours, black and white or black and orange or black and yellow.
Would you leave as is or look to change the headset bottom to an orange or yellow splash and change the seat to a black/orange to match the fork
I'll post a picture when I can.
Also I upgraded the bars to 3T is it worth swapping the Deda stem and Mason carbon seat post to 3T too? Or is it ok to have mis matching finishing kit?
I currently have a btwin 500 saddle bag which does the job but for price of bike brings the tone down a bit. What bag and colour way?
I also need a couple bottle holders and bottles, again which ones and in what colour?
Thanks

Yep black electric n black. The Canyon looks nice dark gray/black.
Appreciate my bike, is bugging me the stem and bars don't match but guess only I know unless looked really closely.
I'm also crap at colour coordation, it just looks like front end is cut and shut with different colours.0 -
Sounds hideous.
In any colour but salvage something by getting a can of spray paint from Halfords and giving it a once over.0 -
I was sympathetic until you mentioned saddle bag.0

First world problems... You sound like my son; he's a design teacher and is a bit obsessive about the way things look. He badgered me to sell him my grey/silver Atmos helmet because it matched his alu Felt bike. Now he's got a black Cube with blue highlights, and the odd splash of Mavic yellow on the wheels and tyres. He has a matching Mavic ss top, bottles and cages, and luckily matching port covers on the Elemnt Bolt. So he's now looking for a matt black helmet with blue highlights...
I tend to put function before form / colour, but I'm not completely colourblind. I must admit that when I retaped / recabled my CR1 I switched from black to white and it's really given the bike a lift. It still has one black and one silver lever though...
Yours does sound like it has too many different colours to look properly coordinated. If it was mine I'd probably leave it as it is and just ride it till a patina of dirt built up, but I can imagine having spent what you have that you want it to look perfect.
Sounds like you're stuck with the orange on the fork and white on the frame, so you really need to get rid of the bits of red and yellow?0 -
I can pretty much ignore any new marketing-speak, but the word 'colourway' really boils my p1ss. That and this constant infatuation with substituting the word 'very' for 'super'. It's super annoying.
Sorry - frustrating day...as you were, people.0 -

We're in the process of merging a large U.S. organisation with a principally European one. Almost every online / web-based presentation from one of the former is peppered with phrases like 'super excited', and it's really starting to annoy me. There's a lot of leveraging and reaching out going too. And job titles which give not a clue about what an individual actually does. Please god, let them make me redundant....0 -

Try using lots of local dialect in stead of the horror from California. Phrases like reet chuffed and got a boner instead of super excited.0 -
@keef66, I too put function first over colour, hence why went for the bike I did.
It's a great bike ride really do need to take a photo.
The yellow splash is also on the frame below the seat post
I have seen a Chris king. Headset in a mango colour but it's £140 but don't want spend when nothing wrong with current headset.
Then need to sort the stem and a seat with orange splash ..
I've always said I wouldn't want to have matching clothing and bike as my riding style is also practical or for fun0 -

Here's a guide to help you bamboozle them
