Oxoman - really fancy doing the c2c, think I’ve convinced the eldest rugrat to do it (if I buy a tandem). Let me know which route you do

    Morning
Feeling shyte, don't know why. Work's suddenly gone slack so I think I'll be making lots of teas today.
Got accosted this morning while walking to the office and invited to a running club. I don't exactly have the aura of a runner.

    Morning folks,
Traditional Thursday mild hangover is present to confirm what day of the week it is. I'm now a year off 50, unfortunately the wrong side of it. Workmates got me a card and some beers which makes me happy. Good job I'm in a car today, brought the Mini in to do some work on it. Need to pop out and buy the cakes later. Other than that I shall be fending off silly questions.

    Happy birthday V68! :D

More worky worky. Legs somewhat achey after a week off the bike, combined with me starting summer extended commutes.

Some hideous rendition of Dirk MK2. Probably without the saddle to handlebar drop.

I'm 2 days younger than VN69! Felicitations you old git.

I have come to the conclusion that the Tabby was fed up of cyclists nearly running him over so he fixed things.

Today will be the Friday jaunt a day early, deep into the sticks where there will be a different cafe conducive to one's fix of caffeine and cake products. There might be a flat bread sarnie with Brie and salad in it.

    Laters.

Where the cake V68? There will be sternly worded letters to my MP if there's no cake.

Usual dull drivel today allergy to work seems to have broken out in the office hardly anyone is in an those that are don't seem to be doing anything.

Turbo in the pain cave later followed by sleep I'd imagine

On the desk over there, still a few left but you'd better be quick.

Do I need to dodge hippys gluing themselves to things? If they glue themselves to said cake I wont be pleased

    Happy birthday V68...

New wood-burner heater installed yesterday so today did a test burn to get rid of all the initial fumes from the paint. Works great, should be v toasty warm this winter.

Finalised details for funeral. Will be small and simple, mainly because my sister spent the last 25 years working all over the world, anywhere but here.

    Drank too much wine again.

Cheers for all the birthday wishes, I'll happily make tea if any of you show up here. If we're in a pub I'll even buy a drink.

oh yes - it doesn't make you happy but it makes things easier.

and with my new idea i'll have soooooo much money that I will be able to afford to freshly washed and ironed bed linen on mine and Nina's bed everyday so we can lie there in fresh linen indulgence.

Nina will be able to have a fresh lab coat everyday

Happy birthday Veronese, it's all downhill till 60 now.

Finished up at my folks house at lunchtime and drove back down South, mainly on an annoyingly busy A1 although the initial detour over the North Yorks moors was good. Next trip up will be to get the house sale started.

    Unfortunately work tomorrow. Ho hum.
