Is there anyone out there in Bike Radar Forumland that owns a Planet X EC-130?
I have put together a build with the intention of using for Triathlon/TT (didn't want a TT specific bike), and I really like how it looks, and the first couple of rides have been fine...however
...what the flip is with that seat clamp? Unless I am getting something majorly wrong, this is the trickiest and fiddliest thing I have ever come across in fettling with bikes on over a decade! And that includes the internal cable routing! It's doing nothing for my blood pressure!
So my query is - given the seatpost has a specific (aero) profile - am I limited to the Planet X seatposts that fit this frame, or is the shape of the seat tube more generic and a different brand aero seatpost would fit? The frameset came with an alu seatpost, and PX also have a carbon version, but that has the same seat clamp. Has anyone come across the same issue and been able to change the seatpost to one that doesn't make you want to chuck the whole thing off Beachy Head? Ta.
