    Tea here.
Have come in to the office because it's dry and some stuff needed sending out, but just had an email saying it's not needed any more.

Brother's wedding on the weekend, feeling dreadful today. Got a group conference call bullsh1t thing at 5 so it's going to eat into my mountain bike time so I'm, doubly unhappy.

If it's a conference call can't you get a handsfree kit and do it while riding?

Considering how many times I have fallen off the new bike it would make for quite hilarious listening at the other end of the line.

I could just zone out in the car on the way to Ae I'd imagine

    Wevver, meh.

You won't be mountain biking in this surely HM?

Not sure what to do today. I've run out of things to use as procrastination.
Tour of Catalunya had some excitement but G-W was boooooring.

Is it bad where you are? It looks still but grey outside (currently sitting in the office in Dumfries). I have a coat...

    I'm hydrating after last night.

Might book some flights later and surprise wifey with a short cycling holiday.

When I went to Ae it was lashing it down with rain the whole time. It wasn't bad but I reckon it would be better if it was dry (planning a revisit in May...)

It's always lashing it down in Ae.

Ae is much better in the dry, I'd always head to Innerleithen or Glentress if in the wet if I had time. A lot of the unofficial trails have either been affected by felling, or washed out by rain at the moment so hoping to get a bit of work done soon. The stuff they have done since the felling took place is very good though.

Just checked the weather for later and it's much worse than previously forecast..

Back to the grindstone today as its year end reporting season here. But at least it's a 4 day week. On the good news side of things, a mate of mine has announced that he's moving down to Malaga permanently and we're welcome to stay any time - cheap break to the Cost del Sol it is then.

Last time I did all 3 of the above centres it rained snowed and the sun shone pretty much over the space of a couple of days. It was fun though.

Lucky to get the sun, especially over this side of the hills at Ae...

    Wtaf is Ae?
Long day doing whatever the fcuk it is that I do. KOM and some top 10's on the way home. :)
Dropping mini off, and picking her up tomorrow, which will truncate the day agreeably. Then it's balls to the floor till next Friday, when hopefully I can escape to the Costa del Sol for a week.

Are you a friend of this bloke who's going to Malaga too?!
I pity the poor bloke who has to scrape your balls off the floor.

Ae is Ae. The shortest place name in the UK. 10 miles north of Dumfries.
Ae's endearing features are rain, trees and lots of tracks between the trees. Most of them are fire breaks. The Village of Ae is thankfully, very very small.

Are any A&E waiting rooms good?
I typed in Ae to Dumfries using the UK distance calculator (having presumed incorrectly that it was roughly 20 miles) and it came up with 315!! It came up with Ae, 2, Bennetts, 21 Leyton Rd, Harpenden AL5 2HU.

    Uh?!

Ah, I thought it was a special abbreviation of Aviemore. The endearing features of Ae just sound like Scotland. Trees, rain and tracks.

It's my mother in law's friend who has a place near Malaga where the family plus m-i-l are headed. They're going for 10 nights, I'm hoping to go for 6, work permitting. It may also be Stevo's mate if he knows a head teacher from east London.

My balls will not stick to the floor. At least I don't think they will.
