Hi,
I’ve posted before regarding a friends giant trance SX 2014 size medium. Looking at the size chart, I’m 5’7″ with 30″ inseam and chart says I should be in small but how difference is it going to make if I go for medium? Is the chart is just a guideline or true sizing?
Here’s the spec of the bike

As you were advised in your previous post, the best thing to do is try the bike for size. Don't just ride around the block. Ask your mate if you can take it out for an hour or so and have a ride on the types of terrain you intend to use it on.“Life has been unfaithful
And it all promised so so much”

Hi
I'm 5'6" with 29" inseam I ride a medium Trance and find it very comfortable.
I tried a small Trance and found it rather cramped.
I was surprised that the medium was such a good fit because all of my other bikes have been small.
As has been previously said the best way to find out is try it on a decent ride.0 -
