QR to thru-axel?

Hi,
Is it possible to somehow put 26”, 135 x 9 quick release wheels onto a thru-axel frame of the same dimension, or is that just wishful thinking.

I don’t have any specific frame in mind, this is just a general question, as my wheels are qr, and a lot of the new frames I have been looking at are thru-axel.
Thanks in advance.

Not unless the frame has bolt-on drop outs that can be swapped or the hub has removable end caps that can be swapped for qr end caps.

I have 2 sets of 26" wheels with interchangeable end caps.

Hope Pro 4 and Superstar Fuel hubs can both be switched over.

double check your hub on the rear wheel as already said a lot of them now can be converted by changing the axle end caps.

you can probably convert it to 12x142mm is that what you want to do?

Two sets of 29er wheels, I did exactly this for Hope Pro2 and Superstar Tesla hubs: 9/10mm QR to 100x15 and 142x12.
