Hi,
I would like to repaint an old bike, and watched a YouTube video whereby the guy sprayed paint remover onto the frame, then after just a few minutes, the paint bubbled up and was simply brushed off.

Does anyone know the best make of paint remover spray, which will achieve this effect?

Thank you all in advance.

I'd get it done professionally. It'll be as good as a new bike.

Only do it yourself if you want it to look a bit shabby.

Why do you need to remove the old paint? Just rub it down to get it smooth and then paint over it.

But if you get the job done properly, they will do all that for you.

Before you think about doing it yourself, let YouTube be your friend. You will either be better prepared or decide to let someone else do it!

And why "paint"? why not powder coating - much tougher!
There are specialist bike finishers, you will find them via Google or from recco's on here. This will give you a flavour of what is available. https://ctc-powder-coating.co.uk/

    Good luck! :)

Is it just nitromors? NAsty, horrible stuff, but effective.
