At wits end with this new from crankset.

Its a two week old bike. And after a 20 km ride, I got it home and noticed that it was making this noise from towards the front area. I am not sure if its normal or not.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyataluRBu4 - you can hear sort of rumbling in addition to the chain clatter.

The gears are indexed. I've lubed the chain, nothing really seems out of order. What should I be looking at? Any help is appreciated.

I can only hear chain noise, which is probably from poorly-adjusted or out-of-adjustment mechs. Probably both FD and RD need a bit of minor adjustment after two weeks. Take it back to the shop and ask them do do it if needs be..

The chain isnt rubbing the FD and the shifting on the RD is quick and accurate. And syhoouldnt the RD indexing affect noise from cassette and not the front crankset?

I can hear the rumble that the OP mentions. Sounds a bit like the B screw tension being wrong and the top jockey wheel is trapping the chain against the selected cog.

Different views required side on to ascertain if the above is true, and a rear view showing chain line and jockey wheel alignment might help.

Hang on - is the Chainset a different ratio to the previous one and have you got too many/too few links?
This could be from a slack chain, which will cause what PP is talking about. That suggests a more compact chainset was fitted (bit of an assumption), Is it a new or an old chain?

For 'B' tension screw as mentioned above and general rear mech problems.

Still seems/sounds like a slack chain causing the upper jockey wheel which is in contact with the chain which is simultaneously in contact with the cassette. Too long.

If the OP pulls the rear mech away from the cassette whilst pedalling, does the noise go away?

Hard to tell in that vid TBH - were you pedalling backwards?!
The indexing is definitely out for a start. Get that right and then see what noises are emanating from the transmission. At the moment. the chain wants to go up a cog.

Best to try this down a hill on the way back from the pub and seated backwards. The noise will almost certaily go away, to be replaced by harps...

Undo the chain and put in a tin,
    take the mech off,
Put wheel back on and spin it up again on the workstand.
    This time if a noise:
    hub and/or bottom bracket.
If no noise - re assemble and tune it properly.

    Have you read that thread?
Have you adjusted the rear mech?

Do what JGSI says, then see.

Dude take the chain off and spin the chainset. You'll see it's not making any noise. As has been said it sounds like it's from the sprockets and the gear wants to change.

Ignore what everyone is saying. It’s a conspiracy, what you really need is a seance
