Best tires for Glentress/Innerleithen

I’m planning on taking my new 2019 YT Jeffsy CF Pro on its first trip abroad to Scotland over Easter. I’m going to be staying in Walkerburn so Glentress and Innerleithen are going to be my targets.
Now, my Jeffsy came equipped with e13 TRS tires which are like boat anchors. I’m currently running a Bontrager XR4 in front and XR3 rear, both in 29x2.4. Those are good for my local riding which is more XC with hard pack and relatively sandy conditions.
What would be my best bet for Scotland? I was considering Maxxis DHF up front with an Aggressor rear in 2.3. I’m not mega fond of climbing so having some tires that roll a bit would be nice.
Also, what compound would be best suited to the Scottish conditions. I’ve read that Innerleithen can be quite rocky...
Open to all suggestions!
Thanks!

Why not take one of the e13 tyres with you then if you find you need more grip then you can stick it on the front and either leave the back as is or put the XR4 on the back. Now where's that "Get Out of Crash Free Card"0
