Roubaix rim/tire match

I just purchased a 2017 Roubaix Elite. I've taken a few rides and plan on riding it this winter here in the cold. (ha, water bottlle was slush when I got home today, first time for that). I had Gatorskins on my Allez and want to switch them to my Roubaix. But I thought I read somewhere that my rims might be different. (they are both 700c). When I took the first tire off the Roubaix, I noticed it came off funny, and I think there is a groove in the rim, which I didn't have before. Will my Gatorskins on my Allez fit my Roubaix?

Yes they will fit. I find it odd though you just did not try.
