Morning, frosty here but at least it will warm up later on, a trip to hospital to see the specialist again, I might fit an hour and half ride in before I go
Don’t work to hard the weekend starts soon

    Morning

Not much sleep again, feeling rubbish again.
Forgot to take bike out of car boot. Forgot keys to lock it up at work. I'm sure I've forgotten other stuff.
Some fettling done to bike already. I'm sure I just need to pump up the front tyre and it will be a speed machine once again.
Got to figure out how to apply for a visa this morning. Someone else was supposed to have done it but a week later decided not to bother

    back to lazy mode

Morning, stunning morning, great view of the frosty hills as the sun came up. Finally got the resistance on my rubbish smart trainer sorted last night so now I know my FTP is somewhere between 3w/kg and 4w/kg. the next few TR workouts are going to be grim.

Got our new MD coming in today, met him a few times before but now he's started fully he wants to understand everyone's roles and responsibilities. This would all be great if I hadn't had little sleep and an entire bottle of champagne last night. It's a tough life...

    Dang it!

Well second morning, wobbled in on No'2 gears seem weirdly stiff and slippy, I'll blame the French for that.

Glad nothing was nicked SG, more coffee for me, some pills and wonder what to do.

Working from home today to avoid the office refit/move chaos - all peaceful here and the old jalopy has even passed its MOT, so later on it'll time to phone up a few local Arthur Daley types to see how much they'll give me for it. In the meantime I've actually got some work to do...

French gears? What are you riding? An old Sachs Huret set up?

Today will be mowstly gastranomically orientated activities in the sticks.
    It's a hard life.

Is luvverly out there, plan was to go out for a couple hours ride this morning with Mrs O and fetch up at the pub in the next village, the one we keep saying we must visit and so far have not, for a bit of light luncheon on the way back. All good.

Trouble is, been suffering through the night with bleepin' sore adductors and the rest muscles, seems I overtaxed them during that first in v long time gym session on Wednesday. Bit of a sharp learning lesson there; just because I've done X thousand kms in past Y years does not mean all leg muscles are in equally good shape. Confirms I need to do more different exercises than just cycling. Oh well.

Plan B is we walk / limp to the pub instead and forego what promised to be a really pleasant ride. Don't want to risk being 25km away from home and those overtaxed muscles go into full spasm.

lady who runs it had left a "back in 2 mins" note at the counter

imo just an opportunist who saw no one in there and chanced it, nothing of great value at risk

Afriad not, its my bizarre commuter setup using an sram Apex shifter and a sram GX rear mech so I can use a 42T dinner plate cassette. Just for ease of use. I think its just a bit of cable stretch and dry cable combining, I reckon the Sachs would need less faffing anyway.

So is that somewhere you're going or a secret new tactic that you use on the forum?

Workshop done. Everyone seemed happy, no one fell asleep. Lovely woman from our Spanish tentacle. I feel a visit to Madrid coming on.

Going to put my bicycle back together tomorrow I think.

    Evening folks,
Another busy day, started to post on this thread about 4 hours ago but never got back to it. Chilly this morning but lovely once it warmed up. Out to a 40th bash tonight, must try not to drink too much as lots to do tomorrow. No chance of that so busy day with a hangover tomorrow.

I thought he was making a clandestine reference to somewhere on the forum, now that the PC Gestapo have banned fun. I was getting quietly excited.

99% of things are better than Wales in the winter. The 1% is my ex because she is evil personified.

Ah hah. Belize. I may have a task for you Bond.

The so called "registered office address" of the premium rate subscription text scammers who have forced me to change phone numbers is in Belize. If I forward on the details, could you pay it a visit, smash it into tiny pieces, set fire to it and chuck it around the neighbourhood please?

Bonus of making things more interesting for you as well.

managed to blag it that am not there long enough to warrant it, however it has cost me lots of month long bits away instead - small term inconveniences for long term gain?
