I ask because it was the picture at the top of an on-line article entitled 'These are the best destinations for a city break with a beach' but, annoyingly, the place itself didn't actually feature in the article. Even more annoying is the fact that I can't shake off the feeling that I've been there but just don't remember it for some reason!

Yeh it looks like Dubrovnik. Or at the very least, one of the Croatian coastal towns or cities.

EDIT: just seen I was beaten to it.

Cheers guys - Dubrovnik it is. I've actually been there on a number of occasions in recent years but was thrown by the perspective - I think the photo above was taken from the air looking towards land (probably a drone?) and I've actually landed on the jetty in the centre of the small bay. In my defence, it looked a bit different at the time as it was just after the siege in the early 1990s and there was a bit of damage from the shelling.
