Err morning

Not slept much due to the howling wind overnight. Had plans for a decent run this morning but right now I'm having second thoughts.
Maybe some indoor cycling later would be a better plan.

Morning , bloody wind club ride cancelled due to it I must admit it took me all my time to walk into the head wind this morning, so the rollers will be out again
Yesterday’s colonoscopy was not a success I have to see the specialist next Friday
    Have a good weekend

Sorry things didn't go to plan LD, hope it gets sorted.

Been to town for a cup of tea, now on the free bus home. I was too slow for a weatherspoons breakfast.

Quite a few fallen trees and power lines about. The roads are closed off but the morons are just moving the signs and cones to get past.

Just read the thread properly now I've stopped off for a coffee & bacon sarnie. Hope that all goes well next week LD.

Very windy overnight. Still a bit blowy but it seems to be calming down.

I don't know what's on the cards today. It might involve pineapple but it won't involve geese.
    Grease, well, that's another thing.
LD - 'unsuccessful'? The colonoscopy didn't go to plan or the findings were inconclusive?

    Laters.

Best wishes Dave of Lincoln. Slow and mildly hungover start to the day will be followed by not doing v much at all. C'mon springtime, get on with it.
  • + 1 with the best wishes LD, that's no fun.

Entire day spent fiddling about with a job that should have taken 2 hours at most. Still some clean up to do tomorrow.

    Best wishes LD.

Windy walk with the dog. Now in the café with a cup of tea awaiting the arrival of wife and child for a good breakfast.

The nurse/ doctor who. Carried out the colonoscopy could not get the camera into the terminal ileum, ( for what reasons he did not mention) which is the final part of the small intestine, a few years ago my ileum was infected
So he booked me instraight away to see the specialist again
But besides that I feel fine
Thanks for the good wishes lads

    That sounds far more sensible.
Unfortunately I have things to do and need to go and visit the old dear as she is out tomorrow. I will be out drinking and watching rugby tomorrow though.
Hopefully just precautionary and all is well LD.

Last museum trip for me involved an hour looking at the exhibition (Ferrari) and about 6 hours in a pub. Planning another museum trip soon.

So much for the "not doing v much at all" day planned. While having a gentle potter about outside, not doing v much, started to hear this odd erratic short burst noise coming from somewhere, sounded a bit like an escaped parakeet or somesuch, but nah, too regular. Turns out the external alarm sounder box on my barn had started to develop a fault.

Could not leave it, no doubt it would go off full mental style at 3am if I did leave it; ear defenders on, 115db at 1m, open the box and see what's what; ended up several hours later having to power down the entire system, backup batteries and all, to achieve silence.

Next week's task will be mainly sorting out replacement parts and reconfiguring / reinstalling.

At least the good bikes are not in the barn, just in case some passing pikey noticed the sound and fury going on.

Off out for a rare longer ride tomorrow morning, in the rain. Fettled bike. New rear brake pads. Front plastic wheel back on. Cx tyres removed, road tyres installed. Clean, wet lube etc. Now to make sure lights etc are charged.

TLW, bit of notice, we'd have sorted a reception committee. Cider, wine, rum.
