Fitting FSA V-Drive crankset to Shimano BB 70

Im trying to fit an FSA V-Drive modular crankset (2019) with 30t chainring to SM BB70 (older Hollowtech II), which seems to fit in just fine, but. The BB is a rather smaller 68 mm as the crankset manual suggests and would possibly need more spacers. The issue I have is that the chainring aligns with nearly the smallest cog on the cassette. Which I believe would cross the chain pretty bad and make shifting quite hard. Am I correct that this would need just spacers (on non drive side)?
Spindle is 118.5 mm long (the shorter version is 113 mm(
I could post pictures if someone who has the know how can message me.
Could throw in a symbolic £5 paypal (beer money) gift for your time if you can help.
