Stages crank ANT+ signal is goosed. Stages have confirmed, but as its over 24 months, best they can do is offer a 30% discount on a new one.

Question - can I connect Stages to Garmin 820 via Bluetooth?

Cheers

  • Don't think so - Bluetooth from the 820 is only for phone connection, not sensors.
  • DC Rainmaker used to talk about something that could take the BLE and convert it to ANT+ (or might have been the other way around) - could be worth a look?
  • (Garmin 1030 does Bluetooth sensors, but not 820.)

    Cheers.

So if I finally lost the plot with Garmin (for various other reasons) and bought a Wahoo, would it connect to stages via Bluetooth?

Yes. The Wahoo will connect to ANT+ and Bluetooth devices.
I ride a bike. Doesn't make me green or a tree hugger. I drive a car too.
