Just bought a Boone and a Crocket, got mini mpatts a new MTB too.
So I've not got 5 CX bikesInsert bike here:0 -
I bought a new MTB since I posted so now I have two MTBs rather than just the one. Now I have 6, I do have a nagging feeling I've forgotten one though...0

I've also got 8 surfboards for various conditions. And a boat. And tons of diving gear. 4 cats. Wife. Kids. etc...0

You need 3. Commuter, road, cross. Different tyres, wheels and bars will give you the rest of what you need.
But this thread is about want not need, and you want more bikes.0 -
Since this thread began I've gone from 6 to 9 bikes! Got my new Secan, which I knew was coming. Aftering doing a fair bit of MTB during the winter, I decided to get a hardtail trail bike and just recently got tempted by a very good deal on a rim brake Supersix Evo Hi-Mod.
Now feeling very guilty....0 -
I don't race or compete in competition (yet)
I mainly commute 10 miles each way year round on cycle network/tow path roads.
O do a weekly club run 4hours tops.
I like the idea of touring/bike packing but young kids not quite up for it yet.
We used to be able to commute on a tandem with our our first born, had a second hand Peugeot off eBay for awhile until the front fork sheared off mid ride. Replaced with a Barracuda. Sits in the shed now seldom used by us but reletives occasional do.
Rather than spreading budget over a couple of bikes, Sunday best/dry weather and back up to commuter and a utility/commuter I put all eggs in one basket and wet for a Mason Bokeh, Adventure /gravel as a do it all currently just the one set 700x35mm g one and is enough for my needs
I can keep up on club runs as well as light off road0 -
So here's an update.
I sold a lot of bikes: 4 CX bikes, an MTB, a winter bike, my race bike and a few other things.
I bought 1 uber CX bike and one Cinelli Nemo. That'll do.Insert bike here:0 -
The timer has started on how long that will last!0

I'm down to one road bike and one Brompton... at one point I owned 4 bikes... it was very time consuming and I cycled less rather than moreleft the forum March 20230

4, currently...
1. Gorgeous Carbon Di2 summer road bike
2. Probably “too nice for it” Carbon Di2 winter bike
3. Alu trainer bike, permanently on the Tacx
4. HT MTB to ride with the lad..0 -
I see myself as a collector of road bikes, or so I tell the wife. I currently have 11.
6 Colnago’s
2 Cipollini’s
1 Titanium winter bike
1 Commuter
1 Hard Tail mountain bike
Wish I had time to ride them all but there’s something about owning them so wouldn’t sell. The Colnago’s and Cipollini’s are a thing of beauty.0 -
I've got 2 bikes.
One is a CX bike with a set of road wheels and full guards. Does winter, commuting and gentle off-roading.
Other is a full summer race bike.0 -
I'm on 6 at the moment but need rid of 2
MTB - Santa Cruz Hightower CC
Road - Cérvelo C3 Ultegra Di2
TT - Cérvelo P5-3 Dura-ace Di2
Track - Argon 18 Electron - Currently for sale
Current commuter / winter / pub bike - Kona Paddy Wagon fixed - currency for sale
new commuter / all round / touring / Gravel - Canyon Grail AL0 -
I now have three. Winter bike (disc brakes), nice bike with Di2 for the nicer months and a MTB for riding with my son/local stuff.
My aforementioned son, who has finally learned to ride at the age of 11, also has a mountain bike that he’s in the process of learning to ride properly (gears not quite there yet). We went to the cyclopark last weekend to get him doing a bit more, which was fun. As his bike is ok rather than good, we’re going to the bike show in March and I’ve told him we can have a look at possibilities for his next bike. He’s decided he’d like a road bike. So he’ll have two!! Chip off the old block 😀0 -
