Tried that, puls up results of retailers who don’t actually sell them hence asking if anyone knew who actually sells them.

Have also emailed the distributor but no reply.

Only for the point that I’m after a brand that can actually provide details of the last type/fiting they use most don’t seem too, or use a typically British last which is a wider toe box and a narrow heel. With Lake I can get or at least I think I can get the right width in the toe box and use their mouldable heel get get a snug fit.

if you want mouldable, also look at bont

fwiw i tried both and much preferred bont

lake cx402 vs bont vaypor s... bont every time - comfort (though of course that's individual), build quality, ventilation, and waaaay lighter

if you look online bont publish measurements for the various models
my bike - faster than god's and twice as shiny

Thanks, had a look at those would quite like to try both brands, but seems we can only shop on line these days, their sizing calculator seems a bit out.

i would use bont's charts and manual instructions, not the calculator

    https://bontcycling.com/items/support/size-chart.html

their charts are based on actual internal sizes of the various models

you should measure your feet few times to make sure you get the maximum dimensions as they vary through the day, then add a few mm to allow for the thickest socks you'll use

if you will be using different footbeds, i.e. for extra arch support and your measurements are at the upper limit of size range it may be better to go up half a size

the vaypor s are mouldable all the way long, at the time i couldn't get the wide fit ones but i found the normals can be moulded a few mm wider (across the widest part of the foot) though it's a bit fiddlier than the heel moulding, later i got a wide fit pair in australia, these only needed the heel moulded

fwiw i use a temperature controlled heat gun for moulding and apply pressure by hand (wearing gloves or through a thick cloth due to the heat), this is faster and more controllable than the oven method, and it allows the cleats to be left in place

Thanks, yes just had a look at the chart as opposed to their online calculator, which is much more inline with my know fitting. Some good advice there thanks, yes I do tend to use third party footbeds for better support so will bear that in mind.

Paul Hewitt (Leyland) certainly did recently and I would imagine still sells them as do Bill Nickson just down the road.

Ditto. I got great service when I bought a pair of wide Lakes last year or the year before.
They use their cars as shopping baskets; they use their cars as overcoats.
