Any Non oakley mega bucks suggestions for decent pair of cycling glasses. Prefer vented if possible to stop steaming up.

Check out Decathlon. I got a set for £15. And I look like a cyclist*

    *idiot.

No, seriously, they’re not vented but I got 4 shades of lenses and they only fog up if you stop. So don’t stop..,

I have a pair of the Tifosi glasses with the Fototec photochromatic lenses and find them really good.

Check out Velochampion. Wouldn't pay full price for them but excellent value at the (seemingly permanently) reduced prices.

At a tenner, these are practically a consumable item. Light, comfortable and inexpensive.

I have half a dozen pairs of those Bolle glasses in the garage after I got a job lot at work from a site that was shutting down.
I wouldn't want anything expensive, i'm forever dropping/scratching them, especially on the mountain bike.
  • How about Ekoi https://www.ekoi.com/en/57-cycling-glasses
both the Evo6 and Evo9 are vented and both can be customised.

I know you said non-Oakley... but its January and there are some good deals on. I managed to get myself a set of Oakley EV Zero strides for £58 from Evans using BC discount and discounted vouchers from work reward scheme. Sold out now, but there are plenty of other options to be had in Evans sale.

If you've got BC membership you can get a further 10% the sale prices, making a set of Flak Draft Prizm £58, Radar EV path £72, or Jawbreakers £80. I'd paste the hyperlinks but my work PC blocks it.

Some of the looks are acquired tastes, but the Jawbreakers would look great if you had a blue helmet, and the Radars are fairly innocuous. But when you're paying virtually that much for Tifosi; well I'd much rather get Oakley's that I can be sure will do the job and be confident I could sell on without a huge loss a year or so down the line. I would never in a million years pay the £140 RRP for mine though!

Took your advice and went against my own and now own a pair of oakley racing jackets! Go figure
  • I think riders should approach sunglasses as a piece of safety equipment. The sunglasses protect your eyes from the sun, which is important, but also, and most importantly, from flying dust. I would like to recommend to visit Framesbuy, they have wide range of sunglasses for cycling.

I would agree Bolle had done the job for me until I got some cheap oakleys a few years back.

I have a pair of Raybans which I wear on holiday etc. Great lenses, sure. But over 10x better than the Bolles? You pays your money and takes your choice.
But I know which pair I would want to have on if road debris, grit, insects etc hit me in the face whilst riding.
They aint called safety glasses for nothing.
