Hi,

I'm fixing up a Broadman Road comp (https://www.halfords.com/cycling/bikes/ ... 5cm-frames) and need to replace the headset bearings.

The steerer tube is tapered with the bottom bearing larger than the top. Halfords have been no use in supplying me with like for like parts and the internet is awash with all sorts of confusing advise. I've attached photos of both bearings. Can anyone point m in the right direction?

The top bearing is stamped TH MR121 1-1/8 45 x 45 1 but the markings on the larger bottom bearings aren't legible.

Could you search for "lower headset bearing" also stating the diameter and depth/thickness of the bearing?

TH is FSA. you have the bearing size and the angle. wheels manufacturing supply them. try talking to a bike shop it what they are there for. I used to list them but stopped as no one bought them. At least you found out what the bearing is. normally people just say I got a boardmans what headset fits. That narrows it down....

Thanks. Knowing I had a tapered steerer I ordered 1-1/8 and 1-1/4 but they didn’t fit. A rush job on my part. The 1.5 inch sounds right.

Sadly no useful bike shops around for me.
