Converting to flatbars. Which shifters?

A recent handlebar theft has become a good opportunity to switch to flat bars.

I'm looking for some advice on what brake levers and shifters will work with calliper brakes and a 9 speed Shimano Sora mech.

Any advice greatly appreciated. Thanks

You need road pull brake levers, the CX 'crosstop' style levers are a good option.

The road front mech needs a road shifter, so you need to look for Shimano road flat bar shifters (and MTB shifter would do the rear), I think at 9 speed they did Tiagra and Ultegra versions.

EDIT: They did do Sora as well.
