I've a bike with an old (2006?) Shimano FC-R700 compact crankset on it...

I think it's Hollowtech II, so am I right in thinking that a LHS crank power meter like a 4iiii 105 5800 would work OK with this (assuming same crank length chosen)? Any gotchas?

Thanks.

It's an HT2 crank, so providing that the PM is also HT2 compatible, then there's no obvious reason why it won't work..

Should work OK. Although if it's that old the chainrings might be worn. If you are going to be watching your watts perhaps replace the crankset if you're messing with it anyway?
FFS! Harden up and grow a pair :D
