Hi,

I keep my bike in my office between rides, just found this below my bike on the carpet and cannot find a gap of where it came from - is it actually from a bike? its the same color as my components, the bike is a Trek Domane SL with Dura Ace Group. Just think something has come off? Ive added a pen tip for scale

Without it, your bike is in a dangerous state and shouldn't be ridden and best sold. I'll give you £50 for it so that your family can see you live to a good old age and didn't have an accident on your bike in early 2019.
I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.

you'll be needing some of this then:

  • It could be a captive nut from the bottom of your shoe, where the cleat screws (not bolts) screw in.

Anyone been watching James May on a Tuesday night when he discusses the differences between a screw and a bolt?

It's from your desk. Keep away at all costs. It's going to collapse.
