Absolutely torn between the canyon strive 2016 and a trek fuel EX9 29

the canyon offers more travel and thats it TBH (XT/SLX version with 160mm travel lyric)
the trek has better parts overall X1 drive train, and a fox 34 but is only 130mm travel
the trails we have here are what you could say blue in trail standards, there are lots of climbs tho, occasionally a jump but not that big
there is also the possibility that I might visit some "DH trails " which is generally flowy\
I used to ride 140mm and is perfect for my riding

Why have you created another thread to discuss the same thing?
130mm would suit the description of your riding better and if it's got the better components. I would suggest you go with the Trek. Have you ridden a Trek before? The rear suspension action is slightly different to a few of the other manufacturers and not everyone likes it! Maybe worth trying one if you can.Cannondale Trail 27.5 | 2015
