Shock Upgrade

I currently have a Rock Shox Monarch R 190x51 on my full suspension bike.
Can I fit a 200x57 shock on the rear?
I'm looking on ebay for FOX CTD rear shocks as they seem to be a better and cheaper upgrade option than Rock Shox RL or RT shocks,.
If any one has any Fox CTD shocks going cheap please message me.
Kind regards
Mike

You can, not a good idea though!
Depending on the shock actuation ratio the rear will sit 20-30mm higher, raising the BB and steepening the head angle, also you may have issues with linkages hitting the frame at full rebound.
Just buy the right size!
On the plus side you would get 12-18mm more travel.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0 -
