  • seems pointless...I just use under shorts and old jerseys for indoor training....But I suppose its ok for spinning classes when the participants want to look good ?

Don't have the Madision kit but I have been known to wear a cycling jersey and glasses on the turbo.

The TV remote control has stored in one of the rear pockets until I forgot about it and I pulled the jersey off when I overheated throwing the remote across the garage. Bits of plastic and batteries everywhere!!

The glasses were because we had just renovated the kitchen and the garage was full of plasterboard and saw dust. The fan blew this into my eyes and I reacted badly. The glasses kept the dust out of my eyes. They are now reserved for proper riding and my turbo attire is proper bib shorts, cheap t-shirt and no glasses.

    45 quid for a jersey that's an undervest ?

I admire their aims of getting extra business but you'd have to be a bit crazy to buy it.
  • I bet Rapha were gutted that they didn't think of it first.

I can't believe people here even wear jerseys/tshirts, I just wear bibshorts with the straps off and tuck in the top.

Next you'll be telling us that you own some sleeveless jerseys.

They seem to have developed a way to charge a lot of money for selling even less material!

If I’m that hot on the turbo I unzip my top.

I’m a sucker for new kit but this is a classic case of a solution looking for a problem.
  • I'm of the opinion that this should be a good idea, I'd imagine much of the cost of bib shorts is the tech that goes into the properties (wind, rain resistant etc) and also design (logos, patterns etc).

If a manufacturer could create a plain bib short that still gives you the fit and comfort of your favourite bibs for less cost then it seems reasonable. Most people think of wearing their old kit for the turbo, if anything you want your best fitting stuff for it.

why do you want your best fitting stuff for it?

Well I want my most comfortable stuff. Being in the saddle with constant pedalling for 90 minutes is tough on my gentleman’s area.
  • why do you want your best fitting stuff for it?

Well given the fact you’re in a fixed position more often than not, comfort tends to be an issue. If I’m doing 2 hours or more I’d like to think the bibs I’m going to use are the best fit.

so why should they fit more than the stuff you are using on the road?

They won’t fit more, they’ll fit the same but be cheaper for what I outlined above.

but they aren't cheaper. in fact they are more expensive than some very good kit.

With an open window onto the street I can assure you that no one wants to see that!
The above may be fact, or fiction, I may be serious, I may be jesting.
I am not sure. You have no chance.

I concur with this. Most comfortable shorts for the turbo.
I’d also suggest a comfortable saddle but apparently that is nonsense.
    Likewise a turbo with movement.

Something like this might be more useful than most presents...

But I'd not spend my own money on them.

Overall though, I think they will make a fortune off dentists and clubbies.

At the end of the day everyone has to make a living so as useless as it is, fair play to them for tapping a market like some of the people above.
