Just bought a Voodoo Bizango, having borrowed a specialized hardrock for a few weeks. hardrock gearing seemed easier up hills, not fully tested new bike yet.Question is what would be the biggest cassette i could fit ,currently 11-42, my little old legs need something bigger , googled sunrace 11-46 or 11-50 would either fit..Thanks

It could be a lot cheaper to put a smaller gear on the front. :)

I have googled and asked on other forums can i do that, are the chainrings on the front interchangeable ???

Yes.... as long as it’s the same fitment.

It looks like a stock 104mm bcd crankset so you can swap the 32t for a 30t which will be the equivalent of going from your 42t to a 45t and should cost you less than £20.

Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.

A smaller chainring is the better solution if it's 1x. If it's 2x then your probably stuck with the current cassette.

Also you need a lower gear not a bigger one.
