Should get the northern folk quiet

Morning, Brakes for new build re build build should appear tomorrow, gives me time to faff tomorrow an strip the bike, excited inner child is firmly present.

quiet day hopefully doge has been walked and office is being attended debating lunch current winner seems to be some weird German Donor Kebab place who proudly proclaim to be the original kebabs, I somewhat doubt this...

Later some form of fish supper and geeking out with new bike parts.

I may be from The North but any restaurant where you have to queue for your food is a big no-no for me.

Free meal in Manchester tonight courtesy of one of our suppliers, and the staff shall wait on us.

Before I moved our then local Chinese was trialling delivery robots...

    twarren_robotdelivery.0.jpg

Now, you are stating to see quite a few of these trundling round the city centre. We also have the Santander Cycles scheme, and another one that has eBikes and potentially another soon with scooters, the kind kids use thinking they are cool. All this on a shared foot/cycle path.
Now though these things are being trialled and due to use the same path's.

Think I may just drive if I go up there, seems safer.

I organise (send an email around) our team lunch at Nandos every month.
While I was out this morning someone went round and told everyone it was cancelled so not happy as I'd rushed back and cancelled something else for it.

Had another last minute work jolly this morning, 3rd this week. Managed to turn it into a run which meant exercise with daylight for a change.

    Afternoon folks,
Just been to the cafe for some dead pig, had to eat more in preparation for drinking beer tonight. That's my excuse anyway. Straight from work to the pub so I will make up for TLW's lack of pub visit. Thankfully not going to Nando's, I went once and thought it was a bit sh!t to say the least. May just be a curmudgeonly old git.
Happy Sweaty's day Piña and HM, wherever he's got to.
    Tomorrow is Christmas decoration avoidance.

Just helped wife buy me the correct Wera allen key set for Christmas by doing it myself :D 8 minutes from desk to Toolstation and back to Desk. A new PB if I'm not mistaken.

'Tis a thing of great beauty. As is my wife.

    Must remember to expedite reimbursement...

Very sorry to hear this as I gather you've been surrounded by this sh1te for some time. Best wishes from a random bloke off a cycling forum.

It will get better. Especially as you've (understandably) got a year ahead of yourself there.

Nah; he's got terrible body odour but worse than that - he's got a Mazda.
Gopping drive back but the plus side is that the old banger didn't break down.

Commiserations VN, keep yer chin up mate; helps the beer go down easier.

I did wonder why all the other customers in Costas were moving away from us.

Anyhow, I made it home with both of my kidneys so I'll count that as a win. Likewise, drive home over the Pennines was crap and p1ssing with rain. Bloody West side of the country.

Now got the cider open and deciding what frozen food to eat tonight...

    Sad news V.

    Annus Horribilis.

Back from sverige. There are women everywhere. Pale, male and stale is not a thing in corporate Sweden. Lovely offices, tasty coffee, plentiful cinnamon-flavoured cakes and buns. Eye-wateringly expensive to eat and drink, though I did eat very well on Wednesday night.
