Ribble Endurance AL

Coming soon... https://www.ribblecycles.co.uk/ribble-e ... imano-105/
Anyone else ordered one?
Initially I was looking at a higher budget but that kept evaporating and it meant I could focus on a different bike to do a different job to my Canyon Ultimate SL 9.0. I'd actually considered the Ribble Audax bike for quite sometime but felt it was getting a bit long in the tooth so I was happy when they replaced it with the Endurance with R7000. It'll serve me as a training bike so that my Canyon can be kept pristine for racing and dry days.
Due to arrive mid December.

Quite a lot of competition in that Alu / 105 price bracket. I went for a Cannondale Synapse which cost about the same. Can’t go wrong for a grand though.0

Yes I saw those today and initially I was annoyed! However the Ribble SL isn’t going to do the job I need the Endurance to do so whilst it’s a nice bike for the price I’m ok with it..Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

Terrible service so far, bike still not here.
Even though I was 6th in line for this bike back in the first week in November (frames were due mid December) I’m now told they have run out of forks for my build.
If not through cyclescheme (2 payments already paid) I’d be cancelling.Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

That's appalling. It's one thing having any order delayed but they should not be taking money until the bike is dispatched. Although i know the c2w is more complicated. I would contract cyclescheme or get your employer to take action (technically it is their equipment).0 -
I saw some pics on their FB page of someone who had ordered a SL Disc (I think) and it was supposed to be delivered in December. When it came the workmanship and QC was really poor. Paint chips all over the bike and also quite a lot of paint had come off around the rear caliper when it was fitted... Surely this should have been flagged up not only by the person fitting it but also on final inspection? The pics have since been removed along with their flashy post advertising how good the bike looked. The guy returned the bike the same day and he said they never even apologised or offered any kind of reason for the issues. He’s since bought a Trek.
I was quite interested in their 725 endurance and it stated it had full 105 including brakes. They have recently updated the spec to say it comes with Tektro long drop brakes now. Disappointing. I’ve now moved my interest to the R872 disc which is stated as ‘mid march’ for availability but the pics from the guy with the SL has also made me question this move too.
Like you, I’d be using a c2w voucher and don’t really want to get stuck with paying for a bike which I don’t have and looks a bit second hand when it does arrive.0 -

Picked up my new Endurance SL Disc directly from the Preston store as I'm local. Ordered in October and with the continued delay in carbon aero handlebars and stems they've fitted it temporarily with aluminium ones. Had a good close look at the frame before accepting it and on the top tube there were at least 3 raised dimples in the finish which proved to be manufacturing defects in the frame itself. To their credit they did agree that a replacement frame was in order so currently I'm riding NOT my frame with NOT my Bars & NOT my stem, but oh its a sweet ride0

Email was responded to, they have offered me £50 credit because of the delay. They held their hands up and said they'd made an error. Bike should be here next week...Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

And I hope it is, it looks ace!
Just a query, bike is clearly called AL 105 and but yet is listed below as 10 speed Tiagra?0 -

Today’s update.....
It is just a quick update email to let you know that we are currently awaiting delivery of the Forks- These are being shipped via Air Freight this week and are due for delivery towards the back end of next week.
Once these have arrived, we will be in touch with a build date for your bike.
All that grief Canyon got and these jokers have service like this. I’m pretty sure I could have built my own by now.Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

That's bloody awful. You going to keep your order or change it? In another BR section there is a thread where others have recently had orders cancelled after several days and one person has had an offer of an alternative bike at a reduced and really good price.
Unless you're dead set on getting this model it might be worth putting in a complaint and seeing if they offer you any alternative bike.0 -

I did kind of lead them towards sending me something else but to be honest I doubt that is even possible, for two reasons:
1. It appears this is a big issue that would cost them way too much in revenue
2. It's purchased via the cyclescheme so no doubt would have ramifications.
Delays happen, mistakes happen but it's the lies I find hard to stomach. Apart from using the £50 credit I will never purchase from them again.Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/

Yes it arrived last week, looks ok. Should be out on it tonight as I was waiting for some pedals.
Ribble were kind enough to include an apology letter, 3 tyre levers, a multi tool and a pro bottle (on top of my £50 store credit). Bike does look nice, it also weighs the size of a small moon. With pedals, guards and computer on it's over 10kg, it'll be interesting to see how it rides.
I'll swap out the tyres for Conti's but hopefully the ones it came with won't let me down tonight. I'll post up some pictures later this evening.Trainer Road Blog: https://hitthesweetspot.home.blog/
