Leeds Urban Bike Park
Just a quick heads up for the Brilliant Leeds Urban Bike Park - we visited and we are seriously impressed.
If you have not been and are interested in a all weather skills centre with some excellent tracks then this is worth a trip out. It seems to be funded by councils and other interested parties, its free to park and use, the cafe on-site is excellent.
They really do not have a strong on-line presence, the best I have found is their facebook page but thats still not the best - but dont let that put you off - the place is awesome and almost a lesson in what an all weather skills/trail centre should be.
There are pump tracks for kids and adults, a very fast jump section and rock path that caters for all skills and then a few downhill tracks that give options of easy berms to rollers to jumps all off the same track, some black sections that use natural features and lots of flow - it is very well thought out. There is also a bike repair shop on site.
Its not a longer ride like Dalby or Gisburn or Cannock - it is a very large skills park with good trails (guessing 5 mile of trail) but they were that good we just kept repeating them as they were that much fun. A new track is currently being built and looks nearly finished.
Be weary of some of the postcodes floating around on the web - the three we had were way off the mark, double check what you use before relying on it.
