Boost Adaptors

Hi all,
I see that there are quite a few options for converting non-boost hubs to fit boost forks. The reason I am considering it is I have the opportunity to get a decent front hub relatively cheap, but it won't fit the boost forks, but they do an adaptor kit for it.
Has anyone used one and is there any notable disadvantages?
Thanks

Two issues, one you don’t get the stronger wheel advantage of boost coming from the wider spacing of the spoke flanges, secondly I don’t like the idea of running my front brake with longer bolts and a spacer.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
