Hey

This is my first post

I have a trek emonda sl5 with a shimano 105 8500 groupset. Earlier today I was cleaning it and noticed that something was rubbing against my rear tire. Inspecting it I realized that it was the front derailleur cable, but not just the end cap but a little plastic tap that the cable is threaded into (i can move it up and down the cable) and has a plastic prong and some clips, I figure that it is to tuck the excess cable and cable end cap away and it clips somewhere in the derailleur parts, but I cant figure out where and I don`t want to force it somewhere and break it or put it somewhere its not secure and it ends up popping out again and rubbing against the tire or cranks. I`m attaching a couple of pictures but let me know if you need anything else.

Do any of you have any idea where does this part clip into, and can you give me photos or a video so I know where to clip it. Sorry for the odd and specific question but I`m at a loss here.

Thanks

Clips on top the the derailleur.

If you need any more info on installing and setting up the new style Shimano front derailleurs then I recommend you watch this video

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9zZWAUp6oOE

I needed it having taken delivery of a new bike where the FD would not change up to the big ring from the small ring. All that was needed was to put more tension into the FD cable but I would have been struggling to know how to do that correctly had I not studied the info above
